André Loyola Stein (born August 19, 1994 in Vila Velha ) is a Brazilian beach volleyball player . In 2017 he became world champion with Evandro Gonçalves Oliveira Júnior in Vienna .

Career

André Loyola finished fifth at the 2014 U21 World Cup in Larnaka with Vinicius Rezende . In 2015, Loyola / Rezende played their first open tournaments on the FIVB World Tour in Lucerne , Rio de Janeiro and Puerto Vallarta , where they achieved their best result with 17th place. In 2016 Loyola formed a new duo with Oscar Brandão . After finishing ninth in the domestic tournament in Maceió , the results of the two Brazilians on the 2016 World Tour fluctuated . After a weaker performance in Vitória , they finished fifth in Doha before being eliminated early in Xiamen . In Fortaleza they celebrated their first tournament victory on the World Tour in the final against the German Erdmann / Matysik .

After that, Loyola became the new partner of the Olympic and world champion Ricardo Santos after his teammate Emanuel Rego had ended his career. At the Grand Slams in Moscow and Olsztyn as well as the major tournaments in Hamburg and Poreč , they initially did not get beyond double-digit placements. As ninth in the Klagenfurt Major, they reached the top ten for the first time. After Loyola reached 17th place with Gustavo Carvalhaes in Long Beach , he won a national tournament with Ricardo in Campo Grande and achieved further top placings at home.

In 2017 Loyola formed a duo with the Olympian Evandro Gonçalves Oliveira Júnior and with him reached the final of the five-star tournament in Fort Lauderdale on the World Tour , which was won by her countrymen Álvaro / Saymon . Subsequently, Evandro / André Loyola remained successful. Only in Moscow did they miss the top ten, while they finished ninth in three tournaments and were again defeated by Álvaro / Saymon in the game for bronze in Gstaad (five stars). At the World Championships in Vienna , they came into the knockout phase as the best of three tied teams in their group; there they reached the final with just one more set loss and became world champions with a win against the Austrians Doppler / Horst . At the World Tour Final in Hamburg Evandro / André Loyola took second place.

André Loyola has been playing with the Olympic champion Alison Cerutti since June 2018 .
