In the 1960s he also worked with Ivan Jullien , Tony Scott / DRS Big Band, Quincy Jones , Jean-Claude Naude and Michel Legrand . He also had a duo with trombonist Benny Vasseur from 1957 to 1970 and played in Paul Kuhn's SFB Big Band in the 1970s until he returned to his homeland in 1984.

There Paquinet worked again in the following years as a soloist with Claude Bolling, as well as with Paul Mauriat, Emile Vilain and the Doctor Jazz Orchestra (with René Caron), and in 2006 with the Grand Orchester de l'Olympia (with Raymond Fonsèque and Roger Guérin ).
