Andreas Klauser (born October 14, 1965 in Kirchdorf an der Krems , Upper Austria ) is an Austrian manager and the current Chief Executive Officer ( CEO ) of Palfinger AG .

Life

Klauser grew up in Molln , in the Kirchdorf an der Krems district in the Traunviertel in Upper Austria. He attended the HTBLA Steyr and then completed a university course in export business at the Johannes Kepler University in Linz . Andreas Klauser is married and has two children. Since 2012 Klauser has been an active member of the Brotherhood of Santa Maria dell'Amina in Rome. In 2013 he was made an Honorary Senator of the University of Natural Resources and Life Sciences, Vienna . In 2016 he also received the Silver Commander's Cross of Honor for Services to the Federal State of Lower Austria and then in November 2017 the Gold Medal of Honor for Services to the State of Upper Austria .

Professional career

Klauser took the path towards agricultural technology early on . After completing his training, he took over the organization of the import of used agricultural machines to Austria and Germany in Greece .

For the company Vakuumat he worked first in Nigeria and later in Austria as an export manager for Scandinavia , Italy and France .

In 1990 he started his career at Steyr Landmaschinentechnik and initially headed the export department for Steyr tractors in Italy and Eastern Europe . After the takeover by Case Corporation in 1996, he successfully reorganized sales in Eastern Europe as Business Director Eastern Europe .

From 2000, after the merger of New Holland and Case to form CNH , he was Business Director Central Europe for the Case IH , Steyr and New Holland brands and, as Sales Marketing Director Poland, responsible for further economic successes.

In 2006 Klauser relocated the European headquarters of the Case IH and Steyr brands to St. Valentin . The expansion of the market position and the strengthening of the dealer network in Europe have since been driven from Austria.

In November 2006, Klauser took over as Vice President and General Manager Europe, leading brand activities related to Case IH and Steyr.

In November 2009, Klauser was entrusted as Brand President with overall responsibility for the Case IH and Steyr brands worldwide. At the same time he became a member of the Management Board of CNH Industrial, the Group Executive Council (GEC) and was part of Sergio Marchionne's closest circle for several years . At the beginning of 2013, Andreas Klauser was appointed chairman of the Iveco Magirus supervisory board .

In his role as Chief Operating Officer for the EMEA region of CNH Industrial (2013 to 2015), Klauser was also responsible for the continued existence of the Magirus Lohr brand at the end of 2012 and thus the continuation of the production site in Kainbach near Graz in Styria .

In 2018, Andreas Klauser was appointed as the new CEO of the multinational Palfinger AG group , which operates in the hydraulic lifting, loading and handling systems sector.
