Andreas Leitner (born March 25, 1994 in Leoben ) is an Austrian soccer goalkeeper . He is under contract with the Austrian Bundesliga club FC Admira Wacker Mödling .

Career

society

Leitner began his career at SV Breitenau in Styria . In 2007 he moved to SK Sturm Graz , which he left one season later for the youth department of SC Wiener Neustadt . In 2009 he played for FK Austria Wien -Jugend before joining the youth department of FC Admira Wacker Mödling in 2009 .

In 2011 he was brought into the squad of the second team, which is active in the Regionalliga Ost. He made his debut on March 18, 2011 against SC Neusiedl am See , when the goalkeeper played through. In his first full season Leitner came on 15 missions. He then became the second goalkeeper of the first team and made his Bundesliga debut on December 1, 2012 under coach Dietmar Kühbauer . In the game against SV Mattersburg he was substituted on for Lukas Thürauer in the 45th minute after a red card for goalkeeper Patrick Tischler . The game in the Mattersburger Poplar Stadium was lost 3-0.

After a public discussion about the contract extension at Admira, Andreas Leitner was suspended and his contract was no longer extended. The goalkeeper then moved to second division SK Austria Klagenfurt in June 2015 . Surprisingly, it was announced on July 23, 2015 that Leitner had signed a long-term contract with FC Admira Wacker Mödling and only spent the 2015/16 season on loan at Lake Wörthersee.

National team

Internationally, Leitner has so far played for the Austrian U-16, U-17 , U-18 and U-19 national team .
