Marco Kadlec (born February 28, 2000 ) is an Austrian football player .

Career

Kadlec started his career at ASK Ebreichsdorf . In 2008 he joined the youth team of FC Admira Wacker Mödling , where he later played in the academy. In May 2017 he played for the Admira amateurs in the Regionalliga for the first time when he was substituted on for Manuel Botic on matchday 30 of the 2016/17 season against the amateurs of FK Austria Wien in the 79th minute .

He scored his first goal for Admira II in October 2017 in a 3-0 win against SC-ESV Parndorf 1919 . In February 2018, Kadlec was in the professional squad for the first time against FC Red Bull Salzburg .

He made his professional debut on July 20, 2018 when he was in the starting line-up in the ÖFB Cup game against SC Neusiedl am See . On July 26, 2018, he was used for the first time in an international game when he was used from the start in the second round first leg of the Europa League qualification against ZSKA Sofia and was replaced by Marcus Maier in the 83rd minute . He made his debut in the Bundesliga on August 5, 2018 , when he came on as a substitute for Patrick Schmidt in the 71st minute against TSV Hartberg on the second matchday of the 2018/19 season .

National team

Kadlec first played for the Austrian U-16 team in September 2015 . In May 2017 he made his debut against Switzerland for Austria's U-17 team . In September 2017 he played for the U-18 team for the first time .

In September 2018 August he made his debut against Cyprus for the U-19 team .
