Andreas Tatos ( Greek Ανδρέας Τάτος ; born May 11, 1989 in Himarë , Albania ) is a Greek football player.

Tatos was born in Himarë , Albania to two Greek parents. Also Sotiris Ninis was born and raised there, so both families are good friends.

Career

society

After Tatos played for Asteras Tripoli and Panachaiki in his youth , he spent his first season as a senior player with the lower-class club Haidari FC in 2007 . There he knew how to convince, so that in summer 2008 he received a contract offer from the second division Atromitos Athens , which he accepted. With Atromitos he reached first place at the end of the season and the associated promotion to the Super League . Therefore followed on August 22, 2009 in the 0-1 defeat against Aris Thessaloniki, his league game debut in the top Greek division. At the end of the 2009/10 season , Tatos was able to book 20 league appearances and Atromitos finished the promotion season with a good 7th place. In addition, he and his team made it into the Greek Cup final in 2011 and 2012 , but both games were lost to AEK Athens (0: 3) and Olympiacos (1: 2 a.d.). In the 2010/11 season , Tatos scored his first ever league goal on November 13, 2010 (10th matchday) in the away game against Panionios Athens ; in the 35th minute he scored the only goal of the game and thus secured his team the three points. However, this was the only goal from Tatos this season, which was very mixed and only ended in 11th place in the table for Atromitos.

Although Tatos was an important part of his team, he signed a four-year contract on August 19, 2011 with the then reigning champions Olympiacos . However, both clubs agreed that Tatos will play another season on loan at Atromitos. In his last season for Atromitos Athens, he scored two goals in 26 games and took a very surprising fourth place with his team, which enabled them to qualify for the 2012/13 UEFA Europa League . Tatos, however, finally left the club in the direction of Piraeus. There he spent a lot of time on the bench in the first half of the 2012/13 season and only came to 68 minutes of play on October 29, 2012 in a 2-2 draw against Aris Thessaloniki before he was substituted for Leandro Greco .

So it happened that in January 2013 Tatos was loaned to Aris Thessaloniki for a year and a half , who was in acute need of relegation at the time. On January 28th he came to his first appearance for Aris, in a 2-2 draw against AO Kerkyra . On April 6, he scored the decisive 1-0 winning goal in the 82nd minute in the game against his old host Atromitos Athens and a week later he scored three times in a 5-1 victory over his former youth club Asteras Tripoli . At the end of the season, Tatos scored a total of five goals in eleven games and made a decisive contribution to staying up.

The 2013/14 season was similar to the last for Andreas Tatos and his team, with a fight to stay up from the start of the season. But he remained relatively inconspicuous compared to the second half of the 2012/13 season, only in the 3: 3 draw against Ergotelis he scored the 1: 2 connection goal and the 3: 2 opening goal . He also achieved the interim 1-0 lead in the important Thessaloniki derby against PAOK with a free kick. Even if Tatos was always one of the top performers at Aris, he could not prevent the premature relegation three game days before the end of the season.

On June 27, 2014 Andreas Tatos moved to his old club Atromitos Athens .

For the 2017/18 season he was signed by the Turkish second division side Elazığspor .

National team

On August 5, 2011 he was appointed by then coach Fernando Santos in the squad of the Greek national team for the friendly against Bosnia and Herzegovina , but was not used.

In March 2014 Tatos is said to have had contact with Alban Bushi . According to this, Tatos had the opportunity to play for the Albanian national football team due to the fact that he was born in Albania .
