Andrew Turner ( Andrew Steven Malcolm "Andy" Turner ; born September 19, 1980 in Chelmsford ) is a British hurdler who specializes in the 110-meter course .

At the 2004 Olympic Games in Athens, he was eliminated in the preliminary stages. In 2006 he won the bronze medal both at the Commonwealth Games in Melbourne , where he started for England , as well as at the European Athletics Championships in Gothenburg .

In 2007 he was fourth over the 60 m hurdles at the European Indoor Championships in Birmingham and reached the semi-finals at the World Championships in Osaka . At the 2008 Olympic Games in Beijing, he reached the quarter-finals. The following year he finished fourth again at the European Indoor Championships in Turin and was eliminated from the preliminary stages at the World Championships in Berlin .

In 2010 he won gold at both the European Championships in Barcelona and the Commonwealth Games in New Delhi .

At the World Championships in Daegu he was after the disqualification of Dayron Robles third with a time of 13.44 s.

Andrew Turner is trained by Lloyd Cowan and starts for Sale Harriers Manchester. In his youth he played before joining the track and football in the club Notts County .
