The beginning is the title of the fictional debut album published on May 2, 2018, on BanG-Dream! -Franchise owned Gothic-Rock / J-Rock band Roselia that was released through Bushiroad Music .

The album contains twelve pieces with a playing time of 53 minutes and 27 seconds. Eight songs are in the smartphone game BanG Dream! Girls band party! playable, a song became a BanG-Dream in the credits ! - OVA used and two other pieces are in the anime series for Cardfight !! Hear Vanguard .

Beginning rose to number two on the Japanese album charts and stayed there for 42 weeks.

The music was composed by Ryutaro Fujinaga , Noriyasu Agematsu and Junpei Fujita , while all the song lyrics were written by Asuka Oda . All of the people involved in the music are members of the Elements Garden composers' collective , who have written songs for numerous other artists as well as published their own pieces.

It is the only album with Yurika Endō and Satomi Akesaka , which Lisa Imai and Rinko Shirogane represented. They left the band shortly after the album was released. Akesaka suffered several hearing losses and Endō also got out of the entertainment industry because of health problems . Akesaka is only active as a seiyū today .

In the first week of sales, the album sold around 25,000 times as recorded music and was about downloaded 5,500 times. As a result, the album was able to enter the Japanese album charts at number two , as determined by Oricon , and stayed in the charts for a total of 42 weeks. On December 31, 2018 it was said that just over 45,200 records of the album had been sold.
