Angoville ( pronunciation ? / I ) is a village and a former French commune of 27 (as at 1st January 2017) in the department of Calvados in the region of Normandy . It belonged to the arrondissement of Caen and the canton of Thury-Harcourt . The inhabitants are known as Angovillais or Angovillaises . Audio file / audio sample

With effect from January 1, 2019, the former municipalities of Cesny-Bois-Halbout , Acqueville , Angoville , Placy and Tournebu were merged to form the Commune nouvelle Cesny-les-Sources and have the status of a Commune déléguée in the new municipality . The administrative headquarters are in Cesny-Bois-Halbout.

geography

Angoville is about 30 kilometers from Caen and is halfway between Falaise and Thury-Harcourt . Angoville is surrounded by Acqueville in the north, Tournebu in the northeast, Martainville in the east, Saint-Germain-Langot in the southeast, Pierrefitte-en-Cinglais in the south, Saint-Omer in the southwest, Donnay in the west and Meslay in the northwest.
