Anna Hallberg (* 1963 ) is a Swedish banker and politician from Socialdemokraterna . She has been the trade minister of her country since September 2019.

Life

Hallberg grew up in Trollhättan and studied law and business administration at the University of Gothenburg from 1983 to 1987 . She then worked in various positions at Skandinaviska Enskilda Banken (SEB) until 1999 . Between 1999 and 2001 she was project manager at the Öhman Fund Commission , after which she returned to the SEB. There she was in charge of the private banking division until 2007 . From 2007 to 2019 she worked at Almi Företagpartner , a state-owned Swedish stock corporation, from 2013 she was the deputy chairwoman of the board.

On September 10, 2019, she was appointed Minister for Foreign Trade and Nordic Affairs in the Löfven II government. She replaced her party colleague Ann Linde , who became foreign minister.

Hallberg has two children and lives in Stockholm . Her partner is the former Minister of Commerce, Anders Sundström .
