Anna Ekström
Anna Ekström (born June 23, 1959 ) is a Swedish politician ( SAP ) and Minister for High School Education and Continuing Education in the Löfven I government .
Life
Ekström studied history and law at Stockholm University . From 1988 she worked at the Tingsrätt Huddinge and the Swedish Labor Court . In 1996 she moved to the staff of then Prime Minister Göran Persson . In 1998 she became State Secretary in the Ministry of Labor. From 1999 to 2001 she worked as State Secretary in the Ministry of Economic Affairs. In 2001 she became a board member of the Sveriges Akademikers Centralorganisation . She then headed the Skolverket from 2011 to 2016 .
According to the journalist Anita Kratz , Ekström was already under discussion in 2006 as Minister of Labor in the Allianz government of Fredrik Reinfeldt . Ekström himself did not comment on this question. In 2016 she finally became Minister for High School Education and Continuing Education in the red-green government of Stefan Löfven after Aida Hadžialić resigned.
