Gustav Fridolin
Gustav Fridolin (born May 10, 1983 in Önnestad , Kristianstad municipality ) is a Swedish politician ( Miljöpartiet de Gröna ) and was Minister of Education in the Löfven I government from 2014 to 2019 . From 2011 to 2019 he was the spokesman for the Miljöparti.
Life
Fridolin grew up in Vittsjö and Haninge . From 1999 to 2003 he attended a media high school in Nacka , Stockholm . In 1994 he became a member of the Green Youth, whose spokesman he was from 1999. In 2002 Fridolin was elected to the Swedish Parliament for Miljöpartiet de Gröna . At the age of 19 he was the youngest ever member of the Reichstag. However, he did not run for re-election in 2006.
Between 2006 and 2009 Fridolin worked as a journalist for the Swedish TV channel TV4 . From 2007 to 2010 he was an adult education center teacher for history and social studies. He obtained a bachelor's degree from the Institute of Oriental Languages at Stockholm University in 2009 and a degree as a folk high school teacher from Linköping University in 2010 .
In 2010 Fridolin ran again for the Reichstag and was also elected. He also became a member of the Miljöparti party executive committee in 2010. He has been the party spokesman since 2011, initially with Åsa Romson , and since 2016 with Isabella Lövin . After the 2014 Reichstag election, he became Minister of Education in the Löfven government .
