Tomas Eneroth (* 1966 in Växjö ) is a Swedish politician ( SAP ) and Minister of Infrastructure in the Löfven I government . Between 2014 and 2017 he was chairman of the Social Democrats in the Swedish parliament .

Life

After studying political science and sociology in Växjö, Eneroth initially worked in the auto industry and was involved in the youth organization of the Social Democrats SSU and in the IF Metall trade union . In the 1994 Reichstag election , Eneroth was elected to the Swedish Reichstag. There he was a member of the Education, Social Security and Economic Committee. From 2002 to 2006 he was Chairman of the Social Security Committee. He has also been a member of the war delegation since 2006, which can replace the Reichstag in the event of war.

After the Reichstag election in 2014 , Eneroth succeeded Mikael Damberg , who became Minister of Economics, as chairman of the social democratic Reichstag group . After Anna Johansson's resignation , Eneroth became Minister of Infrastructure on July 28, 2017.
