Anna Ottmann
Anna Ottmann (* 1954 in Augsburg ) is a German actress and artist in the field of painting , drawing and object art .
biography
From 1973 to 1975 Ottmann studied German language and literature in Munich and then from 1975 to 1981 studied painting and graphics at the Academy of Fine Arts in Munich , completing this with the art pedagogy exam. She then took up acting training in Munich and Berlin until 1983, which included method acting with Susan Batson . In 1988/89 she expanded the method acting method with Hans Dieter Trayer in Munich.
From 1983 Ottmann appeared in various plays at the theater, for example in Joe Orton's play Be nice to Mr. Sloane as Kathrin. The Neue Osnabrücker Zeitung praised: "Anna Ottmann plays wonderfully convincing a lonely middle-aged woman who has all the registers of hysteria." The Münstersche Zeitung and the Westfälische Nachrichten were also full of praise for Ottmann's performance. The Münstersche Zeitung wrote about her appearance as Erna in The President of Werner Schwab : "This prudish mother is played by Anna Ottmann with almost documentary perfection." Klaus Schmidt praised Ottmann's portrayal of the title role in Euripides ' Medea in the Allgäu advertising paper with the words: “Anna Ottmann draws a fascinating portrait of the figure in its complexity. She masters the art of soft, believable tones and is able to turn the almost two and a half thousand year old creature into a contemporary figure. ”Erwin Kleinwechselter asked the question at Radio NWO Kaufbeuren:“ But what would the piece have been without Anna Ottmann ?! - She plays ... pardon ... she is Jelena Sergejewna “for the performance of the actress in Lyudmilla Rasumowskaja's play Liebe Jelena Sergejewna .
In 2005 and 2008 Ottmann participated in the audio productions of the Augsburger Puppenkiste Don Giovanni and the stone guest as well as Hansel and Gretel . Her appearance as a baker in the Frankish crime thriller Freiwild. A Würzburg crime thriller (2008) commented the daily Munich newspaper : “The baker's wife is great.” In 2011, Ottmann appeared in the sequel inheritance with consequences of the crime series Die Rosenheim-Cops , in which she played the housekeeper Magdalena Haffner, who is at her place of work confronts a corpse. In the same year Ottmann played in the television comedy Can love be a sin? a nun and in an episode by Hubert without Staller (2012) with the title Finger im Brot a nurse. In Dennis Todorović's tragicomedy Sister White (2015), Ottmann was cast as unequal sisters as well as Željka Preksavec and Lisa Martinek and Beatrice Richter as mother-in-law Dolores Hagedorn as sister Judith.
Ottmann has been part of the Frank Betzelt and Kai Ivo Baulitz coaching team in Berlin since 2010 . In addition, she has been working as a freelance artist in the fields of painting, drawing and object art since 2005 and is also a lecturer in these subjects .
