Anne Jackson
Anna Jane "Anne" Jackson (born September 3, 1925 in Millvale , Pennsylvania , † April 12, 2016 in Manhattan , New York City ) was an American actress and film producer .
Life
Anne Jackson was born to the cosmetician John Ivan Jackson and his wife Stella Germaine. She had her first appearance on Broadway in 1945. On Broadway, she had her greatest success in the play Middle of the Night , which earned her a 1955 Tony Award nomination . In addition to her numerous theater roles, she also played in films and television series: Since the late 1940s, she has appeared in more than 60 productions, although mostly in supporting roles. In 1948 she married Eli Wallach , with whom she remained married until his death in 2014. The two stood together in front of the camera on some films. Their children Peter , Katherine and Roberta are also actors.
