Annie Corley (* 1960 in Lafayette , Indiana ) is an American actress who has appeared in a variety of films and television series since 1990.

Life

A graduate of DePauw University in Indiana had her first film role in Malcolm X . One of her best-known roles so far she played as the daughter of Francesca Johnson ( Meryl Streep ) in the film drama The Bridges on the River (1995) by Clint Eastwood . She then played in other film productions nominated for the Oscars , such as God's Work & Devil's Contribution , Seabiscuit - With the Will to Success , 21 Gramm and Monster . She had a supporting role in The Lucky Ones , followed by appearances in Crazy Heart and Law of Vengeance in 2009 .

On television, Corley made guest appearances on The Closer , New York Cops - NYPD Blue , as the mother of Zachary Quinto in A Touch of Heaven , as the Christian conservative commentator Mary Marsh in The West Wing - In the Center of Power , Without a Trace - Vanished without a trace , Murder is her hobby , CSI: On the trail of the perpetrators and practice - the lawyers . From 2011 to 2014 she played the role of director Darnell in the series The Killing in 18 episodes .
