Antero Lumme (born August 27, 1934 , † October 11, 2016 in Kokkola ) was a Finnish cyclist .
Athletic career
Antero Lumme was active as a cyclist from the late 1950s to the mid 1960s. During these years he was Finnish road racing champion four times and two individual time trials . In 1963 he was also the Scandinavian runner-up in road racing.
In 1961 , 1964 and 1965 Lumme started in the International Peace Tour, with 59th place in 1964 being his best place in the tour.
Professional
After finishing his active cycling career, Lumme remained connected to cycling as a trainer and functionary, for example as chairman of the Kokkola GIF cycling club . He also worked as a supervisor and masseur for the Finnish national team. He died in 2016 after a long illness at the age of 82.
