Johannes "Juho" Jaakonaho (born September 1, 1882 in Haapajärvi ; † January 21, 1964 ibid) was a Finnish cyclist .

Juho Jaakonaho was a farmer and ski carpenter by profession. He ran cycling and skiing . He competed in cycling from 1910 to 1931 and was the dominant cyclist in his country during this time. He was Finnish champion 22 times, on the road - in road races and in the individual time trial - as well as on the track in sprint and scratch . He won his last national title in 1931 at the age of 49. He also set ten national records.

In 1912 Jaakonaha started at the Olympic Games in Stockholm . However , he was unable to finish the Olympic road race around Lake Mälaren due to a defect in his bike. This depressed him so much that he did not race for several years afterwards.

Juho Jaakonaha was a farmer, a renowned ski carpenter and was also a successful skier himself. He was also known for his extraordinary physical strength; at the age of 18 he lifted a load of 136 kilograms and a few years later he carried four men on his shoulders. In the course of his life, he made around 40,000 pairs of skis for the ski company Lampinen . The skis he made, as well as his bikes and trophies, are exhibited in the museum in his hometown Haapajärvi.
