The high watchtower is a 33 meter high observation tower in the municipality of Langnau am Albis in Switzerland. He stands at 877 m above sea level. M. high Hochwacht , which was called Schnabel until the construction of the observation tower . Today the elevation formerly known as Schlossbühl bears the name Schnabel only a little southeast , on which the ruins of the Schnabelburg are also located.

The viewing platform at a height of 30 meters offers seating. The observation tower grants a 360 degree view. You can see various lakes and the alpine panorama from Säntis to the Bernese Alps .

getting there
You can walk to the observation tower from the Albis Pass in around 30 minutes. The journey from Tüfenbach is around 1 kilometer long and leads via Pfisterbodenstrasse , which is initially developed as a dirt road. The dirt road ends at the edge of the forest and a path leads almost to the Schnabelburg. Shortly before, it crosses the Ringweg , which leads directly to the viewing platform.
