history
Auto-Webel was founded on April 1st, 1935 as a coach company. From 1939, the offer was expanded to include local public transport , which is primarily used for order transport, e.g. B. for the Buna works , included. At the time, the company owned nine regular buses. After the end of the Second World War , discarded vehicles from the state transport company VEB Kraftverkehr were taken over because no new vehicles could be bought. In 1972 Auto-Webel GmbH was nationalized in the GDR and ultimately incorporated into the state- owned Combine Motor Transport in 1981 . In 1991 the business was transferred back to the Webel family . Auto-Webel currently offers bus rentals in addition to regular and tourist services. In addition, the company has 2 taxis in its inventory, with which, among other things, medical trips, call taxi operations or airport transfers are offered. Line D was taken over by Leupold on April 1, 2019 . On June 17, 2019, lines 135 and 191 were taken over by OVH GmbH .
