geography
The triangle is located east of the gravel pit Kleinpösna on the city of Brandis in the district of Leipzig . In the east, the Parthe , the eponymous river for the building, flows through the surrounding towns of Albrechtshain and Wolfshain. Other places in the area are Kleinpösna and Hirschfeld . It is located about 15 km southeast of Leipzig , about 90 km northwest of Dresden and about 60 km northwest of Chemnitz .
The Parthenaue motorway triangle has junction number 28 on the A 14 and number 33 on the A 38.
history
On August 13, 2006, the triangle was opened to traffic as part of the Central German Loop . The A 38 with the junctions Rippachtal and Parthenaue forms the southern bypass of Leipzig and is intended to relieve the northern part of the A 14 and the Schkeuditzer Kreuz .
Design and state of development
Both motorways have four lanes in this area. All connecting ramps have two lanes.
The motorway triangle was designed as a left-hand trumpet.
Traffic volume
The triangle is used by around 70,000 vehicles every day.
