The Spreeau motorway triangle (abbreviation: AD Spreeau ; short form: Spreeau triangle ) is a motorway triangle in Brandenburg in the Berlin metropolitan region . It connects the federal highway 12 ( Berlin - Frankfurt (Oder) ) to the federal highway 10 ( Berliner Ring ).
geography
The triangle is located in the municipality of Spreenhagen ( Hartmannsdorf district ), near the Dannenreich and Friedrichshof districts of the Heidesee community and the Uckley and Kablow-Ziegelei districts of Königs Wusterhausen . It is located about 30 km southeast of downtown Berlin, about 55 km west of Frankfurt (Oder) and about 75 km northwest of Cottbus .
The triangle is located near the border with the Dahme-Spreewald district in the Oder-Spree district and south of the Oder-Spree Canal .
The catchment area of the Dahme Heideseen nature park begins immediately to the south .
It is named after the nearby town of Spreeau .
It represents an important hub for traffic from Western Europe to Poland , for example it connects the routes from Amsterdam via Hanover , Berlin, Poznan and Lodz to Warsaw .
The Spreeau motorway triangle has junction number 8 on the A 10 and number 1 on the A 12.
history
The triangle was built as a left-hand trumpet as early as 1937 under the name "Ostdreieck" . From 1945 to 1990 the building was called "Abzweig Frankfurt / Oder". After the reunification it got its current name. From 1998 to 2000, the motorway triangle was rebuilt. The main route, the A 10, was expanded to six lanes. The indirect ramp typical of the trumpet from the eastern Berliner Ring onto the road to Frankfurt has been replaced by a semi-direct ramp. The road from the southern Berliner Ring to Frankfurt was also rebuilt. The two pre-existing direct ramps were retained.
Design and state of development
The A 12 has four lanes and the A 10 has six lanes. All connecting ramps have two lanes.
The triangle was designed as a complete triangle in full-Y shape.
The longer crossing connects the A 10 coming from the north with the A 12 running to the east and the shorter crossing connects the A 12 running west with the A 10 running west.
The main route leads from west to east in one swing and connects the eastern part of the A 10 with its southern part.
Traffic volume
The triangle is used by around 83,000 vehicles every day.
