geography

The cross is in the Rhein-Sieg district , in the area of ​​the city of Sankt Augustin, directly on the city limits to Hennef . The surrounding cities are Hennef (Sieg) , Siegburg , Troisdorf , Lohmar and Bonn . It is located about 30 km southeast of Cologne and 10 km northeast of Bonn.

The Bonn / Siegburg junction is number 32 on the A3 and number 5 on the A 560.

history

The motorway junction was opened to traffic in 1988 as part of the construction of the A 560 as a motorway triangle. Two years later, the A 560 in the direction of Hennef (Sieg) was built and now the cross was completely passable. The Autobahn 3 has existed in this area since 1937.
