The Regensburg motorway junction (abbreviation: AK Regensburg ; short form: Kreuz Regensburg ) is a motorway junction in the area of the municipality of Pentling in the district of Regensburg , Upper Palatinate region in Eastern Bavaria . This is where the federal motorway 3 ( Elten - Passau ) and the federal motorway 93 ( Hof - Holledau triangle ) intersect . The eponymous independent city of Regensburg borders directly on the motorway junction to the north.
expansion
Like the A93, the A3 has four lanes in the area of the motorway junction. In order to cope with the increased volume of traffic, the A3 is to be expanded to six lanes between the Nittendorf junction and the Rosenhof junction. This project is assigned the highest priority level in the current Federal Transport Infrastructure Plan (2016).
Traffic volume
The cross was used by around 130,000 vehicles every day in 2015.
