The Deggendorf motorway junction (abbreviation: AK Deggendorf ; short form: Deggendorf cross ) is a motorway junction in the area of ​​the large district town of Deggendorf in the Deggendorf district in Lower Bavaria .

This is where the federal motorway 3 ( Ruhr area - Frankfurt am Main - Nuremberg - Regensburg - Passau ) and the federal motorway 92 ( Munich - Deggendorf ) intersect . The motorway junction is located south of Deggendorf and has the shape of a clover leaf . In 1968 the construction of the motorway and the cross began and was opened to traffic in 1979. Until the completion of the Pocking interchange ( A3 / A94 ), the Deggendorf interchange will be the only interchange or triangle in Lower Bavaria.

Flood 2013

As a result of the floods in Central Europe in June 2013 , the Deggendorf motorway junction became known because it had to be closed for days due to flooding.

Traffic volume
