The Holledau motorway triangle (abbreviation: AD Holledau ; short form: Holledau triangle ) is a motorway triangle in Bavaria near Ingolstadt . This is where the northern section of Federal Motorway 93 ( Hof  - Regensburg  - Kufstein ) ends and merges into Federal Motorway 9 ( Berlin  - Leipzig  - Munich ) ( Europastraße 45 ).

geography

The triangle is located in the municipality of Wolnzach , it is surrounded by the cities and communities Pfaffenhofen an der Ilm , Schweitenkirchen and Rohrbach (Ilm) . The triangle is located about 50 km north of Munich, about 55 km northeast of Augsburg and about 25 km south of Ingolstadt.

The Holledau motorway triangle has junction number 65 on the A 9 and number 55 on the A 93.

State of development

The A 9 has six lanes in this area, the A 93 four lanes. In addition to the indirect ramp (single lane), two lanes are available in all crossings.

The triangle is designed as a right-hand trumpet. Originally it was planned to extend the A 93 in the direction of Augsburg (west), so it can be seen that preliminary construction work for a clover leaf was established.

Traffic volume

The triangle was passed by around 108,000 vehicles every day in 2015.
