history

In 1953, Egon Senger founded an authorized Daimler-Benz workshop in Rheine. Thus, the core business was the maintenance and repair of Mercedes-Benz vehicles. From 1958 the Egon Senger company represented Daimler-Benz AG and Auto-Union and since that day has also been selling vehicles to its customers. In order to run the business more effectively, the PERKUTE subsidiary for workshop equipment was founded in 1968 and the autop company for workshop systems in 1982.

The brand portfolio began to be expanded in 1978. This year, for example, a Porsche dealership agreement was signed with the Stadtberg dealership. In 1990 the SEAT brand was added to the brand portfolio. In 1992, Senger Automobile GmbH was founded in Weißenfels in Saxony-Anhalt as a Mercedes-Benz agency for cars and trucks . In the following years, other Mercedes-Benz agencies followed in Naumburg , Lingen , Meppen and Haselünne . In 2000, Senger Automobile GmbH merged with Neils & Kraft to form Senger-Kraft GmbH & Co. KG and thus expanded sales to the cities of Weimar , Apolda and Sömmerda . This year, the VW Group's brand portfolio was also expanded with the takeover of the König car dealership in Emsdetten .

In 2003 Senger took over the Mercedes-Benz authorized workshop in Erfurt . A year later, a Mercedes-Benz center was opened in Wietmarschen / Lohne and the Hirsch dealership in Dortmund was taken over by Senger. In 2005 Senger-Kraft GmbH & Co. KG took over the Gröteke car dealership. In 2006 Senger took over another Mercedes-Benz dealership in the Ruhr area ( Werne ) and the Audi Center Emsland in Lingen. In the following year, other companies were integrated into Senger-Kraft GmbH & Co. KG. The portfolio was also expanded to include the DAF brand . Senger acquired the majority stake in the DAF center in Großbeeren . In 2008, the ŠKODA Brinkmann car dealership in Rheine was taken over, thus expanding the portfolio.

In 2009 a central administration building for all car dealerships in Rheine was opened. In 2012 and 2013, some of the previously acquired dealerships were modernized. In addition, nine branches of TRAVAG GmbH (formerly Kittner Group) in Schleswig-Holstein with the brands VW , VW-Nutzfahrzeuge , Audi , ŠKODA and Porsche were taken over. In 2014, Senger acquired a majority stake in other Mercedes-Benz operations in Hesse , and in the following year eight other Rosier Group locations in Lower Saxony. In 2017 and 2018 further takeovers were made in Münster and Bielefeld .

In 2019, the Senger Group took over the TCB Truck Center Blumberg and three Bollmeyer GmbH & Co. KG operations in Bünde , Herford and Bad Oeynhausen . The holdings in the eleven companies of the Senger-Kraft Group were sold in 2019.

At the beginning of 2020, the Senger Group is strengthening its market presence in Münsterland and taking over the seven Mercedes-Benz operations of Ostendorf GmbH in Ahlen , Hamm , Lippstadt , Rheda-Wiedenbrück , Rietberg and Soest .
