Cattle breeding (previously mainly sheep and goats, today mostly cattle) was also operated. history

In the 11th century the area was recaptured ( reconquista ) and repopulated ( repoblación ) by the Christians - probably non-violently .
Attractions
The church of Santo Tomás Apóstol dates from the 16th century; the original entrance in the west facade, which was raised by a bell gable (espadaña) with a " battlement " behind it, was bricked up at a later time. The almost square apse , built from large natural stone blocks and bricks , shows Mudejar influences, which can also be found in the south porch ( portico ) , which was added later . The interior of the church has two aisles and is spanned by an artesonado beam ceiling. There are several altarpieces (retablos) from the 17th and early 18th centuries.
