Beatpatrol
The Beatpatrol Festival is an international music festival and has been held annually on the VAZ St. Pölten site since 2009 . The organizer is MUE Beat Music Event GmbH , based in Vienna. In terms of the musical program, the organizer concentrates on the electronic music scene, e.g. B. Electronic, House, Drum and Bass, Dub, Goa or Ska.
The site
The VAZ St. Pölten music festival has been taking place since 2006 : The Nuke and Lovely Days Festival were held from 2006 to 2008, and the Frequency and Beatpatrol Festival have been taking place since 2009 . The campsite is located on the green belt along the Traisen and is a few minutes' walk from the festival site. The festival site has paved access and parking facilities as well as a direct connection to the Westautobahn (A1).
The GreenPatrol
The GreenPatrol project was implemented for the first time in 2011 . Volunteers and stakeholders of the festival work together on solutions to make the festival more sustainable and ecological.
Realized projects
- Flyer ban on the entire area to avoid waste
- Free bicycle cloakroom for visitors arriving by bicycle
- Can exchange campaign in cooperation with "Every Can Counts"
- Combination ticket for travel + entry to the festival in cooperation with ÖBB
- Production of seven short videos on the topics of travel, waste avoidance, rubbish at the campsite etc. in cooperation with the St. Pölten University of Applied Sciences

History and line up
- In 2009 the Beatpatrol Festival took place for the first time on the premises of the VAZ St. Pölten. From July 24th to 25th the organizers counted a total of 20,000 visitors. Over 100 artists performed on these two days, including a. Paul van Dyk , Paul Kalkbrenner , Faithless Allstars, Benny Benassi , Stereo MCs ’s, Skazi and many more
- In 2010 the festival was held from July 23rd to 25th. The number of visitors increased to 27,000. The over 100 artists included u. a. Tiësto , Paul Oakenfold , Booka Shade , Steve Aoki , Crookers , The Bloody Beetroots , Andy C , DJ Rush and many more
- In 2011, 31,000 people attended the festival from July 22nd to 24th. The line-up included Tiësto , Paul van Dyk , Moby , Martin Solveig , Groove Armada , Skrillex , Chuckie , Afrojack , Mr. Oizo , Steve Angello and many more. The GreenPatrol project was carried out for the first time.
- In 2012 the festival took place from July 20-22 and counted 29,000 visitors. The line-up included artists such as Avicii , Armin van Buuren , The Bloody Beetroots (DJ Set), Laidback Luke , DJ Fresh , Dada Life , Joachim Garraud and many more. The GreenPatrol project was implemented for the second time.
- In 2013 the festival was brought forward and took place from May 31st to June 2nd. According to the organizers, the decision was made due to the rainy weather in recent years.
