Lovely days
The Lovely Days Festival is a music festival that has been taking place in Austria since 2006 .
St. Polten
2006
The first Lovely Days Festival was held on July 21st and 22nd, 2006 on the open air area at VAZ St. Pölten . The organizers were Novamusic , Musicnet and NXP , the operator of the VAZ (event center) St. Pölten. The musical focus was on bands and musicians from the 1960s to 1980s. About 20,000 visitors were counted.
The camping area was located on the green belt along the Traisen River . The festival site had paved access and parking facilities as well as a direct connection to the western motorway (A1) and the western railway line .
One week before the Lovely Days Festival, the Nuke Festival - also organized by Novamusic and Musicnet - was held on the site , which meant massive cost savings for the organizers, as large parts of the infrastructure could be used by both festivals. The Magistrate St. Pölten estimated the indirect profitability through the two festivals for the region at around five million euros. The advertising value - also for the St. Pölten tourism - exceeded this amount considerably.
Were represented Roxy Music , Robert Plant , BAP , Donovan , The Stranglers , Canned Heat , Ten Years After , The Who , Billy Idol , Gary Moore , Manfred Mann's Earth Band , Willi Resetarits & the extra combo, Iron Butterfly and Country Joe McDonald .
2007
The festival took place again in 2007 on the open air area at VAZ St. Pölten. This time the date was July 6th, 2007. Due to the Live Earth concerts on July 7th, the festival only took place on one day, on two stages, the Power Stage and the Flower Stage .
Performing artists were Riders on the Storm , Jethro Tull , Uriah Heep , Barclay James Harvest , Blood, Sweat & Tears , Colosseum , The Sweet , Ten Years After , Suzanne Vega and Bluespumpm. Gov't Mule and Ricky Warwick were both confirmed at short notice, but later removed from the lineup.

2008
In 2008 the festival was to take place at the VAZ site in St. Pölten. The planned date was July 12, 2008, and an artist was already set in blues legend John Mayall . However, since hardly any other bands were available at the time, the festival was temporarily canceled on March 31 by the organizer Ewald Tatar, and John Mayall performed solo in Vienna on the date mentioned.
Two weeks later, an announcement followed that the new date was now August 17th, 2008. The festival site in Wiesen in Burgenland served as the venue . Neil Young & The Electric Band could be won as headliners . Furthermore entered The Waterboys , Adam Green , Wishbone Ash and Hans Theessink on.
2009
The festival took place on July 10th, 2009 on the festival grounds in Wiesen. Among others, Deep Purple , Foreigner , Mother's Finest , Eric Burdon & The Animals and Ten Years After were represented .
2010
As in 2009, the festival took place in Wiesen on July 10, 2010. The performing bands this time were: Manfred Mann (headliner), Toto , Ray Manzarek and Robbie Krieger of The Doors , Uriah Heep , Canned Heat and The Spencer Davis Group .
2011
The following bands were in the line-up at Lovely Days 2011 on July 8th :
Santana , Mother's Finest , Ten Years After , Colosseum feat. Barbara Thompson , Osibisa , Wishbone Ash .
2012
The festival took place in Wiesen on July 7, 2012. The bands performing were: Norbert Schneider Trio, Stan Webb 's Chicken Shack, Gov't Mule , Jethro Tull 's Ian Anderson , Ten Years After (because Iron Butterfly had canceled), Lou Reed & Band, Ray Manzarek & Robbie Krieger von The Doors .
2013
The following bands were in the line-up at Lovely Days 2013 on July 6th:
ZZ Top , Status Quo , Steve Winwood , Roger Chapman & The Shortlist, Opus (40 years of Opus), Nick Simper & Nasty Habits.
2014
The festival took place on July 12, 2014 on the festival site in Wiesen. Among others, John Fogerty , Chicago , Johnny Winter , The Grandmothers of Invention , Tokyo and Blues Pills were represented .
2015
The following bands were in the line-up at Lovely Days 2015 on July 4th:
Status Quo , Eric Burdon & The Animals, Jimmy Cliff , Uriah Heep , Nazareth , The Doors Alive.
Eisenstadt
2016
The festival took place for the first time on July 9th in the castle park in Eisenstadt . Line-up:
Deep Purple , Jethro Tull 's Ian Anderson , Seiler & Speer , Mother's Finest , The Sweet , Ten Years After .
2017
The following bands were in the line-up at Lovely Days on July 8th:
Zucchero , Uriah Heep , Kris Kristofferson , Mother's Finest , Canned Heat , The Doors Alive, The Levellers and Edgar Broughton .
2018
The following bands were in the line-up at Lovely Days on June 30th:
Eric Burdon , Jimmy Cliff , Status Quo , Manfred Mann's Earth Band , Ten Years After , Gary Clark junior and Rudireiber & Band.
2019
The festival takes place on June 29th in the castle park in Eisenstadt. Line-up:
Toto , Jethro Tull 's Ian Anderson , Nazareth , Birth Control , Alpha Blondy & Solar System , Schiffkowitz and Bernhard Beibl.
