Bekilli is a town in the district of the same name in the Turkish province of Denizli and at the same time a district of the Büyükşehir belediyesi Denizli (metropolitan municipality / metropolitan province ) created in 2012 . Bekilli is about 85 km northeast of the center of Denizli . In 1987 the then district of Bekilli was separated from the district of Çal as an independent administrative unit. At the end of 2018 he was the fourth smallest (16th out of 19) İlçe in the metropolitan area. According to the city seal, the place received the status of Belediye in 1910 .
The ancient orientalist Veysel Donbaz was born in 1939 in Bekilli.
