Bozkurt is a town in the district of the same name in the Turkish province of Denizli and at the same time a district of the Büyükşehir belediyesi Denizli (metropolitan municipality / metropolitan province ) created in 2012 . Bozkurt is located about 52 km east of the center of Denizli and at the end of 2018 ranked 13th among the most populous Ilçe in the province.

The city of Bozkurt was founded by Turkish refugees from Bulgaria who were expelled from there during the Russo-Turkish War in 1878 .

According to the logo, Bozkurt received Belediye (municipality) status in 1956 . In 1990 what was then Bozkurt County was separated from Çardak County as an independent administrative unit. Today the descendants of the Turkish refugees make up the majority of the district's population.

Bozkurt is an agricultural district with many irrigation systems. A notable attraction is Lake Karagöl . It is located at an altitude of 1,250 meters on the mountain on the slope of which the town of Bozkurt is located. The area is surrounded by dense forests with several small lakes fed by streams.
