Ben Gordon (born January 31, 1985 in International Falls , Minnesota ) is an American ice hockey player who has been under contract with the Tulsa Oilers in the Central Hockey League since 2012 .

Career

Ben Gordon began his career as a hockey player with the Lincoln Stars, for which he was active in the junior league United States Hockey League from 2002 to 2004 . In the 2002/03 season he won the Clark Cup with his team . From 2004 to 2008 he attended the University of Minnesota , for whose ice hockey team he played parallel in the National Collegiate Athletic Association . In 2007 he won the championship of the Western Collegiate Hockey Association with the team . In the 2008/09 season , the center for the Cincinnati Cyclones from the ECHL made its professional ice hockey debut. Shortly before the end of the season he moved within the league to the Reading Royals , for whom he was regularly on the ice in the following two years. During his time in Reading he also came to a total of 25 appearances for the Providence Bruins , Toronto Marlies , Abbotsford Heat , Rochester Americans and Binghamton Senators in the American Hockey League .

For the 2011/12 season , Gordon was signed by the DEG Metro Stars from the German Ice Hockey League and received a contract offer for the following season, which he did not accept on the advice of his advisor.

Gordon signed a contract with the Tulsa Oilers in the Central Hockey League in early September .
