Beneficia Dei

Beneficia Dei ( lat .: The benefits of God) is an encyclical of Pope Pius IX. , it dates from June 4, 1871 and appeared on the occasion of the “twenty-fifth anniversary of his pontificate ”.

Looking back on his 25 years in high office of the Pope, he described the ups and downs of this epoch . He listed some important events that, thanks to the advice of the cardinals and other confreres, were brought to a conclusion during his tenure. To this end, it is one particular dogma to the " Immaculate Conception of the Virgin Mother of God ," the canonization and beatification deserving men and women, the expansion of Catholicism , the contracts between the Catholic Church and friendly countries in Europe and America and have not yet completed agreement and reconciliation with the Eastern Churches .
