The Benelli TreK 1130 is a motorcycle from the Italian two-wheeler manufacturer Benelli . The design of the travel enduro is derived from the Tornado Naked Tre (TnT) and is driven by the same three-cylinder in-line engine.
Technical specifications
drive
The liquid-cooled three - cylinder engine generates a nominal output of 92 kW (125 hp) and a maximum torque of 112 Nm at a speed of 5000 min −1 from a displacement of 1131 cm³ . The three cylinders of the transversely mounted in- line engine have a bore of 88 mm in diameter, the pistons have a stroke of 62 mm with a compression ratio of 11.6: 1. The cylinder head has two chain-driven, overhead camshafts , which control two intake and two exhaust valves per cylinder via rocker arms. The four-stroke engine accelerates the motorcycle from 0 to 100 km / h in 3.2 seconds and reaches a top speed of 245 km / h.
landing gear
The chassis is based on a composite bridge frame made of tubular steel and cast aluminum and has a tubular space frame at the rear with a central spring strut from Sachs. The front wheel is guided by an upside-down telescopic fork from Marzocchi with a Ø 50 mm standpipe diameter. A double disc brake with four-piston brake calipers decelerates on the front tire, and a disc brake with two-piston brake caliper at the rear. The braking system decelerates with an average of 9.96 m / s².
Power transmission
The primary drive takes place via gears. The power is separated by a mechanically operated multi-disc oil bath clutch, the torque conversion by a gearbox with six gears. The secondary drive takes place via a chain drive.
Electrical system
The starter battery has a capacity of 12 Ah and supplies the electric starter . The alternator generates an electrical output of 550 watts. The cockpit has an analog tachometer, an on-board computer and a coolant display as well as a push button for selecting two different maps.
Fuel supply and consumption
The mixture is formed by an electronically controlled fuel injection with Ø 53 mm throttle valves. The average fuel consumption is 7.3 liters per 100 km at a speed of 130 km / h. The fuel tank has a volume of 22 liters, of which 4 liters are in reserve. The manufacturer recommends the use of unleaded motor gasoline with a knock resistance of at least 95 octane , the theoretical range is 272 km. The exhaust aftertreatment is carried out by a regulated catalytic converter and falls below the pollutant limit values of the Euro-3 emissions standard . The 3-in-1 exhaust system leads under the seat into a rear silencer .
Market situation
In the travel enduro class, the TreK has an average engine capacity of over one liter.

Reviews
“Whoever throws the throttle inadvertently after 3000 tours is offered what is currently probably the most exciting intake noise of current production motorcycles. This imposing background noise, however, transfigured the view of reality a little, because the actually measurable propulsion does not necessarily meet the phonetic requirements. "
“The Benelli Trek is recommended to all those whose motorcycle does not have to be perfect down to the last detail, but who still value a solid, good workmanship, a benevolently successful design and increased emotion. Because once the translation fits, the Trek becomes a wild beast, if it rocks properly, the three-cylinder roars eerily beautiful in the ear canals. "
"The TreK is a swallowing woodpecker in front of the gentleman, almost eight liters of super tipped behind the bandage on the country road. Mind you, when taking a ride, when other big bikes are satisfied with six liters or less. Occasional brief misfires when accelerating and the smell of uncleaned exhaust gas also feed the suspicion that the Italians have not yet succeeded in setting up the three-cylinder properly. "
