Bingo Players is a Dutch dance - and electric - House - Formation , consisting of the two DJs was Paul Bäumer and Maarten Hoogstraten. Since the death of Paul Bäumer, Maarten Hoogstraten has continued the project alone.

history

In 2006 Paul Bäumer and Maarten Hoogstraten founded their project Bingo Players and started their careers with the release of several EPs for the Techtone label. In 2008 they had their first national success with the single Touch Me , which was released in collaboration with the Dutch duo Chocolate Puma and reached first place in the list of downloads of the digital label Beatport . They were also successful with the follow-up single Chop , both songs were able to place in the Dutch Top 100 charts.

In 2009 the song Devotion was released as a single, which was particularly successful in Belgium. It was released by the Sneakerz Muzik label . Devotion contains a sample of the 1990 song I Wanna Give You Devotion by the British dance duo Nomad . A few months later a vocal version with the voice of Tony Scott was released as a download single .

In 2010 the bingo players founded their own label Hysteria.

In 2011 they produced a remix of the successful international single Give Me Everything by the musicians Pitbull , Ne-Yo , Nayer and Afrojack together with the Dutch DJ Nicky Romero . Also in 2011 was Cry (Just a Little) , with which they were also successful in the British charts for the first time. The style of Cry (Just a Little) in 2011 was mainly inspired by artists such as Steve Angello , Patrick Alavi , Dave Armstrong and other house greats of the time.

At the beginning of 2012 they were signed to the house and dance label Kontor Records , on which they also released the song Rattle as a single. Even if it wasn't that successful in her home country, it was her first pan-European hit. Her ninth single L'Amour was released in February, which also included a mash-up with Nicky Romero's single Generation 303 . In May they decided to record a vocal version of their song Mode . With the voice of Heather Bright , they released it under the title Don't Blame the Party (Mode) .

In summer 2012, published Flo Rida on his album Wild Ones song I Cry , a Rapversion of Cry (Just a Little) and the bingo player original Samplet . The US rapper's song became an international top ten hit and made Dutch people more known around the world. Then it came to a collaboration with the American hip-hop band Far East Movement . Together with them, the bingo players re-recorded their hit Rattle . In the UK this Vocal Version rose, entitled Get Up (Rattle) at No. 1 on the charts and internationally, the song was able to place in the top third of chart in many countries.

Paul Bäumer died on December 18, 2013 of complications from cancer that he was diagnosed with in July of the same year. Hoogstraten announced in January 2014 that it would continue the project alone. This was also Bäumer's wish.

The first single followed in July 2014, since Bäumer's death. This was called Knock You Out and advanced to the official singles charts in Belgium. Furthermore, the track recorded its first placement in the US dance charts. In particular, a remix version by Dutch producer Hardwell attracted attention. In 2015 the songs Nothing to Say and Curiosity followed . In his track Lone Wolf , published in 2016, he processed a sample of the song Tetego Bashi by Barb Satake from 1971. With the song Be with You , he developed further into the field of pop music.

In 2017, songs like Bust This and No. 1 Disco again a series of electro house productions. For the song Tic Toc he worked with the Dutch future house duo Oomloud. In the same year the EP What's Next was released . In 2018 there were collaborations with the American musician Goshfather and with the Dutch duo Bali Bandits. Another future house production was released in 2019 with the song 1000 Years , in which he incorporated gospel singing and organ sounds.
