The Diocese of London ( Latin Dioecesis Londonensis , English Diocese of London ) is a diocese of the Roman Catholic Church in Canada with its seat in London . It extends across the counties of Elgin , Essex , Huron , Kent , Lambton , Middlesex , Norfolk , Oxford and Perth in southwestern Ontario .

The diocese was established on February 21, 1855. From 1859 to 1869 the seat was in Sandwich, today Windsor (Ontario) . The seat of the bishop is St Peter's Cathedral in London, Ontario. It was built from 1880 to 1885 in neo-Gothic style and in 1961 raised to the status of a minor basilica .

Ronald Peter Fabbro has been bishop since 2002 .
