Blair Brown (born April 23, 1946 in Washington, DC ) is an American actress .

Life

Blair Brown graduated from Canada's National Theater School in 1969 , and later appeared in numerous plays such as The School for Scandal and The Merchant of Venice . In 2000 she won the Tony Award for her leading role in the play Copenhagen .

As a film actress, Brown starred alongside William Hurt in The Hell Trip (1980). She was nominated for a Golden Globe Award for her role in the film Zwei wie Katz und Maus (1981), in which she played alongside John Belushi . She also appeared in mini-series such as Kennedy (1983) or Space (1985). For her role in the television series The Days and Nights of Molly Dodd (1987-1991) she was nominated several times for an Emmy .

From 2008 to 2012 she was in the US series Fringe - Borderline Cases of the FBI to see, of which in the first four seasons as part of the main cast.

Brown lived with actor Richard Jordan from 1976 to 1985 and they have a son.
