Bounce - a chance for the love (. English bounce ) is a film drama with Ben Affleck , Gwyneth Paltrow and Natasha Henstridge from the year 2000 . It was directed by Don Roos , who is also the writer of the script.

action

The action begins at the O'Hare International Airport in Chicago : Due to a snow storm, the flight passengers cannot take off and are stuck at the airport. Some start talking, including advertising expert Buddy Amaral and writer Greg Janello. To do him a favor, Amaral gives Greg his plane ticket so he can be with his family earlier this Christmas. The plane that Buddy Amaral actually wanted to fly crashes and Greg Janello dies in the disaster. Amaral is plagued by feelings of guilt and goes into therapy for a year. After therapy, he seeks out Janello's widow, Abby, with the intention of telling her the full story. But before that happens, he has already fallen in love with her and is afraid of losing her if he explains everything to her. After the two begin a love affair, Abby accidentally learns the truth and is horrified. She breaks off the relationship and Amaral begins to fight for love. Eventually Abby forgives him.

The reviews are mixed an evaluation on Rotten Tomatoes resulted in a positive rate of 52% based on an evaluation of 106 reviews. Michael O'Sullivan praised the work in the Washington Post , especially that of Gwyneth Paltrow. He wrote that the film was better than he expected after seeing Roos' earlier film, The Opposite of Sex .
