Brian Jacob Smith (born October 12, 1981 in Dallas , Texas ) is an American actor.

Life

Brian J. Smith was born in Dallas in 1981 and grew up in Allen . After attending Collin County Community College , he moved to the renowned Juilliard School in New York City , where he took part in Shakespeare's R&J , a new production of Shakespeare's Romeo and Juliet .

He made his film debut in 2005 in Hate Crime , in which he played a homosexual who is confronted with the intolerance of a priest's son. He then took part in various plays, including in 2008 in the Broadway production of William Inges Come Back, Little Sheba . In 2009 he took on roles in the independent films Red Hook and The War Boys and was hired as the lead actor for Stargate Universe . Other television engagements followed, from 2015 to 2018 he was in Sense8 and since 2019 on the World Fire to see
