The Brombachmoor is a nature reserve in the Franconian Lake District in the central Franconian district of Weißenburg-Gunzenhausen in Bavaria .
The Flachmoor lies west of the Kleiner Brombachseses between the villages Langlau and Absberg , near the Hühnermühle and Neuherberg in the district Thannhausen . It has been a nature reserve with an area of 3.56 hectares since November 3, 1983 , making it the smallest nature reserve in the district. Since the flooding of the small Brombach axis in 1985, the area is the last remaining part of the natural Brombach valley .
The eponymous Brombach flows through the moor and flows into the Altmühlüberleiter around 250 m southeast . The approximately 700 m long Muldental is covered by alder forests and alluvial forests as well as small ponds . Between sedge tussocks are cattails , peat moss , snake root , Sedges and Tonquil to find.
