Bruno Gervais (born October 3, 1984 in Longueuil , Québec ) is a former Canadian ice hockey player who played 423 games for the New York Islanders , Tampa Bay Lightning and Philadelphia Flyers in the National Hockey League between 2001 and 2017 has denied on the position of defender .
Career
Bruno Gervais began his career as a hockey player with the Titan d'Acadie-Bathurst , for which he was active from 2001 to 2004 in the Ligue de hockey junior majeur du Québec . During this time he was selected in the 2003 NHL Entry Draft in the sixth round as a total of 182nd player by the New York Islanders . Before the 2004/05 season , the Bridgeport Sound Tigers , New York's farm team from the American Hockey League , took the defender into their squad. During the lockout in the National Hockey League , the Canadian scored 30 scorer points in 76 games for Bridgeport, including eight goals. In the following season Gervais made his debut in the National Hockey League for the Islanders, for whom he played until the end of the 2010/11 season. On June 25, 2011, the Islanders gave it to the Tampa Bay Lightning for a consideration to be determined .
In July 2012, the defender was awarded a two-year contract as a free agent by the Philadelphia Flyers . During the lockout in 2012, Gervais played nine games for the Heilbronner Falken from the 2nd Bundesliga ice hockey .
From July 2015 on, Gervais was under contract with the Eisbären Berlin from the German Ice Hockey League . After two years in the service of the polar bears, the Canadian ended his active career in the summer of 2017.
