Bukovec (until 1927 also "Bukovce"; German Bukowetz , Hungarian Berencsbukóc - until 1907 Bukóc ) is a municipality in western Slovakia .
Location and general
The place was mentioned in writing for the first time in 1592 and is located in the hill country between the Little Carpathians in the south and the White Carpathians in the north. Nové Mesto nad Váhom is about 35 kilometers east of the municipality, Myjava about 7 kilometers northeast, Senica about 15 kilometers west.
