Bundestag constituency Stade - Rotenburg I
The Bundestag constituency Stade - Rotenburg I was a constituency for the elections to the German Bundestag in Lower Saxony . It comprised the district of Stade and, from the district of Rotenburg (Wümme), the communities of Bremervörde and Gnarrenburg as well as the combined communities of Geestequelle , Selsingen , Sittensen , Tarmstedt and Zeven .
history
The constituency was number 11 of the Lower Saxony constituencies in the 1949 federal election. He had for the federal elections from 1953 to 1961, the number 33 and from the general election in 1965 the constituency number 25. In the parliamentary elections from 1949 up to and including 1961, the constituency was named Stade - Bremervörde , after Stade and since the general election in 1987 Stade - Rotenburg I .
The constituency area has not changed in the years of its existence. The entire time it consisted of the district of Stade and the district of Bremervörde , which was incorporated into the district of Rotenburg (Wümme) in 1977.
In the course of the reorganization of the constituencies before the federal election in 2002, the constituency was dissolved and the constituency area was divided into the newly created constituencies of Stade - Cuxhaven and Rotenburg - Verden .
