The castle Hahnenkamm is the ruins of a hilltop castle on 606  m above sea level. NN south of the place Bissingen an der Teck in the Esslingen district in Baden-Württemberg .

history

The castle is expected from 1250 to 1280 by the Duke of Teck have been built. The castle is one of a series of satellite castles that had to protect the duke's castle on the Teck. In 1297 a Gumpold von Hahnenkamm is mentioned in a document.

The castle itself is first mentioned in a sales deed in 1303. Duke Hermann II. (1282-1315?) Sold a. a. the castles Hahnenkamm and Diepoldsburg to the House of Habsburg . However, the sale is not carried out.

In the possession of the Counts of Württemberg since 1326, the castle was temporarily mortgaged in the following period. The complex seems to have been abandoned as early as the 15th century.
