The Lichteneck castle ruins are the ruins of a spur castle in Ingelfingen in the Hohenlohe district in Baden-Württemberg . Surrounded by vineyards, the ruin stands as a landmark of the city on a mountain spur above the old town of Ingelfingen in Kochertal .

The ruins of the hilltop castle are the remaining remains of the castle built by Kraft von Boxberg around 1250. It was possibly destroyed in 1394 by Count Eberhard von Württemberg during his campaign against the Schlegler or in 1436 in the Wertheim feud. About half of the outer walls are still intact, the moat still exists on the mountain side .

After several storm damage, the masonry of the ruin was comprehensively secured in the 1970s.
