The " Burgstall Untersteinach " refers to an abandoned castle on the left bank of the Schorgast opposite the "wire mill" in Untersteinach in the district of Kulmbach in Bavaria .
The castle complex, which was probably destroyed before 1633 and whose owners from 1422 to 1432 are the Lords of Guttenberg, was mentioned around 1344 as a "fortified courtyard".
