Burla is a district of the Thuringian municipality Hörselberg-Hainich in the Wartburg district .

geography

The place Burla is located on the northeast slope of the Hörselberge and is part of the Nessetal . Federal Motorway 4 has been running immediately to the west of the district since 2010 .

history

Burla was first mentioned in a document in 1315. The place belonged to the Hopffgarten court in the duchy of Saxe-Gotha , Saxe-Gotha-Altenburg or Saxe-Coburg and Gotha after the acquisition by the Lords of Hopffgarten until the patrimonial courts were abolished in the mid-19th century . From 1920 he was in the state of Thuringia .

On January 1, 1957, Burla was merged with the neighboring village of Hastrungsfeld to form the municipality of Hastrungsfeld-Burla . In 1996 it was incorporated into the municipality of Hörselberg , with which the place was added to the municipality of Hörselberg-Hainich in 2007.

Economy, infrastructure and transport

Burla is an agricultural place, of particular importance is the agricultural cooperative west of the village. There is an industrial park south of the village.

The closest motorway connection is about two kilometers away at Sättelstädt . There is a connection to rail traffic at the Sättelstädt stop of the Thuringian Railway .
