Callan Mulvey (* 24. February 1975 in Auckland , New Zealand as Callan Francis Mulvey ) is an Australian actor .

life and career

Callan Mulvey was established in February 1975 in Auckland in the area Auckland born and moved with his family at the age of eight years from Sydney , Australia . There he attended along with his later co-stars Jon Pollard and all Brunning from Heartbreak High , the Balgowlah High School in New South Wales . His first acting role was the lead role as Bogdan Drazic in the ABC hit series Heartbreak High , where he appeared in over 110 episodes from 1996 to 1999. This was followed by some guest appearances on other television series, such as All Saints , Pizza and Beastmaster - Lord of the Wild . After finishing filming the film Thunderstruck , Mulvey was so badly injured in a car accident on New Year's Eve 2003 that titanium plates had to be implanted in his head . From 2006 to 2008 he starred as Johnny Cooper in the award-winning Australian soap opera Home and Away . During this time he also had a few guest appearances in McLeod's Daughters , Sea Patrol and Underbelly - War of the Underworld . From 2010 to 2011 he was in the Australian police series Rush in the role of Brendan "Josh" Joshua to see. In 2011 he starred in the film The Hunter alongside Willem Dafoe , Sam Neill and Frances O'Connor . In 2014, he appeared in both 300: Rise of an Empire and The Return of the First Avenger .

He has been married to Rachel Thomas since December 2010.
