Camillo Otto Hans Alfred von Maliszewski (born December 10, 1836 in Berlin , † February 6, 1908 in Kassel ) was a Prussian major general .

Life

origin

He was the son of the later Prussian general of the infantry Ferdinand von Maliszewski (1790–1877) and his wife Adelheid Philippine Sigismunde Sidonie Karoline, née Gans zu Putlitz (1801–1851).

Military career

Coming from the Cadet Corps , Maliszewski joined the 2nd Guard Regiment on foot of the Prussian Army on April 29, 1854 as a Second Lieutenant . With his promotion to Prime Lieutenant on February 23, 1861, he was transferred to the 4th Guards Regiment on foot . At the same time he was commanded as adjutant to the commandant's office in Berlin until June 17, 1864 . Subsequently, Maliszewski took part in the war against Denmark as an adjutant of the General Command of the 3rd Combined Army Corps in Jutland . In December 1864 he returned to his post at the commandant's office. After the German War , Maliszewski was promoted to captain as company commander in the 86th Infantry Regiment in Halle (Saale) . Here he commanded the 1st Company, with which Maliszewski also went to war against France in 1870 . At Beaumont he was wounded and awarded the Iron Cross, 2nd class.

After the war Maliszewski rose to major and commanded the 1st Battalion in Flensburg from June 24, 1878 to December 10, 1883 . He was then a lieutenant colonel and extrabudgetary staff officer to Strasbourg in the first Rhenish Infantry Regiment. 25 is added.
